Sansa has memories of her parents when she is that exact age at the start of AGOT (11), and Arya and Bran are both younger (9 and 7, respectively) and yet still have memories of their families. Think of the memories Sansa, Arya, and Bran have of their parents, despite their youth. Arianne would have been 11 at that point. Mellario left her children behind when she returned to Norvos, yes, but that happened at the VERY EARLIEST after Trystane was born. The argument was sort of weirdly suggesting that Arianne has more of a connection to the Rhoynar since she’s Dornish/Rhoynar? Someone called OP out on it and it seemed not to be their intention, but it got me thinking about Arianne’s heritage, and how we have almost no thoughts of her connection to her mother. Saw a post a few days/weeks ago about how it’s narratively unfair that Aegon/Griff is more connected to his Rhoynar heritage than Arianne, since he grew up on the river.
